Gloria - The Them cover MNL Musikero Ng Lagro

Gloria was written by Irish Musician Van Morrison of The Them in 1964. During live performances, Van Morrison will usually adlib lyrics of the song, sometimes playing it for about 15 minutes, including extended guitar solos. The band was composed of Van Morrison as lead vocals, Billy Harrison on guitar, Alan Henderson on bass guitar, Ronnie Millings on drums and Pat McCauley on keyboards. The song reached No.1 in the Billboard and was covered by many rock artists, most notably by Van Jim Morrison's The Doors. In this cover I added a bass (actually a guitar lowered by one octave), mobile app drum kit, a bit of lead guitar, and harmonica.

Great Gloria cover Musikero!! Excellent performance my friend! I remember this song came out when I was a sophomore in high school... It got a lot of airplay back then, along with the flip side of the record "Baby Please Don't Go". I loved playing it on my electric at the time but I wasn't much of a singer. You're right Steve, this came with Baby Please Don't Go, a wonderful version of The Them. It must have been the best best of times then, high school and all. Gloria was actually one of the first songs that we were able to complete when we were starting as band back in high school. This is one of my dad's favorite rock and roll song. Sadly I lost the vinyl record.

@@Musikero33 I know I had a 45 rpm back then, and like you said it's probably seen the way of the dodo bird!! I still have a lot of original LPs from back then though. Good ole days!
