I'm so proud of this young woman. The courage it takes to leave a cult, especially one you are born into must be extraordinary. On the documentary, her father said she was their shy child. I believe we have just begun to see who Pearl really is. She is a fighter. And not someone to be manipulated. I applaud her and wish her all the very best❤

There was a community fund set up for them, they live together with their 5 children and are doing well

There was a new documentary that is three episodes long called escaping utopia. It has Pearl and her sister Rosanna in it. Paul appears in parts but he doesn’t actually talk. He has a beard and seems okay.

She had left previously before she went on to marry Paul. She lived with her brother for a while but was talked into going back by her mother. Track down the documentary called escaping utopia if you can. Paul is seen in the documentary. They left together with their kids

The Amish dont use electricity or any modern technology and grow all off their own food and raise their own stock. but they do use modern medicine.

@@magnumrepia537 the Amish follow their own laws from the bible and punish their own. but sometimes victims of sexual abuse will escape and report it to the police outside of the Amish community. Gloriavale are not Amish but are a Christian based community based on Christion laws but use modern technology. they are a bit like hippies liveing in buses but in Gloriavale their drug is god. they also punish their own unless someone escapes to notify the police. both Gloriavale and the Amish are similar in some ways but not others. Amish live life as in the 19th century. and Gloriavale live in the 21st century. Both groups have a bishop or a minister that runs' the community. they set the laws. no one works for money they work for there survival. any goods sold goes to the leader and to maintain the buildings education and health care.

I have watched and read all I can about Gloriavale. It is the closest thing to a perfect Acts community I have ever seen. The people work hard as the Bible commands and everything is provided for them. I would expect disgruntled former members of the community and the sleazy, Leftist press to attack this Christian community.

The Acts community lived in the middle of the bustling city of Jerusalem. Not off in an isolated, remote corner of the world.

If there is a perfect community, I'd say it's the Amish in the US. Gloriavale has far too many problems like sexual assault. The Amish don't tolerate that as the bible is against sexually assaulting children.
