Glorious FOOD TOUR of the FIRST COAST | Jacksonville, Florida

During my first morning in Jacksonville, Florida in partnership with Visit Jacksonville I headed out on an all out food tour of the First Coast (Jacksonville's nickname). I ate at three incredible restaurants!

Jacksonville is located in North Eastern Florida near the Georgian border. I took a short 50 minute flight from Miami and hit the grown running to try their amazing food.
I visited three restaurant on this food tour. First was visited Maple Street Biscuit Company and I tried their Five and Dime. It's a biscuit with egg, chicken, cheese, bacon and gravy. Out of this world!
Next I walked a few doors down to Taverna San Marco, a restaurant that focuses on Italian and Mediterranean food. Here I had a beer and tried their delicious quail.
Lastly I headed to Moxie Kitchen and Cocktails. I had a flight of some amazing local craft beers and then tried 3 amazing dishes, Scallops, Short Rib and Chicken and Waffles. They were all incredible!
Next time you head to Jacksonville you have to visit all three of these restaurants.

Moved to just outside of Jax this year. Been to maple street and the only mistake I made was ordering one for my wife and one for me. Just onn would feed both of us, they were super nice and had us take the cinnamon biscuits for being there for the first time.

That is a monster of a breakfast sandwich! And the quail with the salad looks and sounds unbelievable. I've never seen chicken and waffles made like that. Such a unique take on a classic Southern dish! Haha, I guess you didn't have room for dessert after all!

The five and dime is good, but overpriced. The egg yolk is always hard. Go to orange park (right outside of Jax) and go to grumpy's. it's so good, and portions are huge.

Cool Jacksonville Florida my hometown my family on my Mothers side is from there an my mothers family had to North Carolina but when I turned 18 I returned back to Jacksonville Florida I lived there 4 years on Merrill Road off of 9A still my Fam is there from Jacksonville to Tampa Bay I will hopefully be Moving Back love my SunShine ☀️ state😊
