Just a tip, I use the side of the sheet removed to expose the sticky side to press down things in the sticky. That way one avoids getting fingers stuck and provides a smooth layer to burnish elements into the sticky side. I never thrown away the peeled up side. 🇨🇦

Well I’m finally catching up on my Chris Stokes videos! What a brilliant idea of putting Vera’s mark on the back of the stencil to keep it from sticking to that tape, I know that tape is really sticky and at first I said to myself “she’s going to have trouble “, but not you! Lovely card. I do have gilden flakes, so I will give it a try and yes I have glitter too, lol!

So very striking! Have a drawer full of of gilding flakes that were popular many years ago...good thing they don't deteriorate! Will be fun to get then out again... I was hoping to see how you cleaned up the gilding flakes. I used them the other day and had bits of flakes everywhere. I worked on a piece of paper so I could contain the mess but they stuck like glue to my table, hands, glass craft mat, I found a tiny bit stuck to the woodwork in another room-probably traveled on my clothes. I finally used sticky tape to pick them up. Ugh! Your card is gorgeous.

Love it! Both myself and my husband have failed with gilding flakes…we used tacky glue…….I’m going to try it your way…I shall order a scrubber ‘thingy’….danger is trying to order only one thing. I was wondering about the stencil sticking. Brilliant solution. Two pots of gilding flakes just arrived at my house. I've always had gold gliding sheets in my stash (a little goes a long, long way) but I wanted some other colors. I love sparkle and shine on my cards and this sounds perfect. Plus I've also got too much glitter that really should be used. Thanks for another beautiful idea and a lovely start to my morning.

I love gilding flakes but the mess drives me nuts, I tried gold leaf sheets but they are almost as bad. I still use them but use a pizza style box now in an attempt to contain the mess. I have had stick away in my stash for years too, I know I should not but I use it to take sticky residue off my skin from the medicine patches I wear, labels from things such as new vases etc as well as my craft room, bit of a must have. The card is so cute, I like the end result, thank you

Using Stick it adhesive sheets is far less messy than glue or Stamp 'n' Bond with Gilding flakes. Just have songs fun! 😊

Fabulous card - i use design space with my Cricut machine and i have found the same sort of trees that i downloaded over a month ago but i was just waiting for that inspiration to use them and now you have given that to me. I may put a black deer silhouette at the bottom of the trees or a robin in amongst the trees. I have had gilding flakes for over a year now and finally going to use them. I have watched now a few of your videos and i just had to subscribe as the your tutorials are just great and i love watching them. Thank you 🎄😘

The idea is to put just a few on, don’t attempt to cover the whole area in one go…add sone use the scoochy or blending brush then add more as needed!
