I've been feeling stuck in my language learning, and took a placement test and got in an intermediate level. Looking at all the resources I've been using, they are geared towards beginners which is why I felt like all I was doing was rehashing material, and wasn't sure where to go to advance my learning. I'm interested in glossika because I think it will help me on that next step. Only think is I am oddly stubborn about not wanting subscriptions. I would rather pay hundreds of dollars for lifetime purchase than a subscription.

For my Spanish learning journey I completed all the Pimsleur and Michel Thomas lessons but introduced Glossika into the mix at around the time I started pimsleur Spanish level 3. What Glossika does better than the rest is it will really help with speaking and listening

I like the shorter length lessons with Glossika. I do think that Pimsleur does help in learning the language with verbal interactions and flexible learning environments you can listen to lessons in. The lessons are longer with Pinsleur which is something I really don't like because sometimes I don't want to deal with the longer lessons.

I'm sorry but if you don't have 45 minutes a day to dedicate to learning another language, then you aren't going to learn another language.

Yes Pimsleur is my go-to first course for learning new language or re-visiting previous ones. I stick with it even in spite of the annoying North American bias in all aspects of the course. This is really unfortunate, considering it is sold and used internationally.

Agree 100%. I love Pimsleur, it's been way more effective than anything else I've tried. But as a Brit the constant assumption that you're an American gets a bit annoying at times. When I started Romanian, and it was getting me to say "Sunt American." (I'm American), I looked up the Romanian for 'English' and would just say that instead of 'American', or "Nu sunt American, sunt englez'.

Eduardo is stoked! Never heard of Glossika before, but it sounds like an awesome language learning app. Eduardo digs Glossika's shorter lessons, but Pimsleur's real life learning and flexibility can't be beat. If Eduardo wasn't already a Rocket Man, I think he'd go with Pimsleur. Eduardo wants to improve his Ukranian to help his good friends. Thanks TPI!

So maybe we can get the best of two app, for shorter commute, or quick speaking/listening lessons, then use Glossika, otherwise use Pimsleur

I want to learn Spanish to actually use the spanish I learned in High school, and communicate with so many friends in my life who speak spanish. Knowing a second language would be a massive help in my career, and while spanish isn't as important in my field, I will never have to worry about finding other spanish speakers. I hope it will give me the confidence to learn other languages in the future.

Another language program I did not know of. I would personally still rather take Pimsleur. Glossika sound a lot like Mango languages in the way it teaches.
