Gloster Gladiator Emergency Landing @Old Warden - 04/06/17

At the end of a great day at Shuttleworth Fly Navy, the Collection's Gloster Gladiator (one of only two airworthy in the world) had to abort the finale in the flying display due to an engine problem and land in field. Luckily, the pilot landed the aircraft safely with no additional damage to the air frame (other than that caused by the engine) and walked away from the landing unharmed.

What was the problem with the camera? Was your lens dirty? It looks like a 240p video. Nonetheless, thanks for the upload.

RWBHere It was a dark day, quality is still 1080p though. I now have a new camera which will be much better at filming though.

What was the problem, I'm no real wizz at engines but it looked like something to do with a piston misfiring. Probably wrong though

Maybe we can get informed and up-to-date if we google for the registration number of the aircraft (G-AMRK / K7985) But yes, so far it seems piston or fuel pump...

Pistons don't misfire.

The miss firing was put down to dirty spark plugs,once cleaned the engine ran as it should.
