Welcome to my 5 part series covering the "Cold War Jet " event held at Bruntingthorpe in the United Kingdom on the 29/04/2023.This event show cases Different era aircraft all the way from the 1943 Gloster Metero (RAF first Jet Fighter used in combat) to the Powerful English electric Lighting
This First video in this series is the Gloster Meteor NF11.The Gloster Meteor first took to the Skys on 5/03/1943 with the NF11 variant first flying in the 1950s. The NF11 was a night time fighter but could be used in all weather conditions and is powered by 2 Rolls-Royce Derwent 8 engines ,which make the aircraft reach up to speed of Mach 0.8 (613MPH).

I not to sure if its currently airworthy .It does seem to be in fantastic working condition. It came into Bruntingthrope by flighting to the location in 2019.
