Fascinating film, I remember those digs. Just after then I became a member of GDARG for a year or two and helped on a small dig near St Oswald's Priory, where we found remains of Roman housing, the frontage of which followed the line of the modern street.

This is SO interesting - and, very telling. Some real history! It's a personal opinion, (they usually are), but I believe Gloucester was "savaged" by developers/planners during the 60s and 70s. I think this is an important document.
