Some terrible snags off that side of the pier too! I think hurricane debris. I wonder if all of it is still there. None the less... that is a BEAST of a Red my Brotha!

It could be. From what the snag feels like, could be a cable. But who knows what it actually started as. Thanks man! We don’t have to cast over the whole river but getting it over and out of the snag is a must!

Thanks a lot for your support! We have some good fisheries around here. Spring and fall. Give it a few weeks after they start catching em in the OBX in the spring. Fall has been harder to gauge. In general September.

How were yall not getting snagged casting straight out like that? I always get snagged when i do.

Learn the snag. I always cast over it but when reeling in, I pop it off the ground and wind it in fast to keep it away from that horrible snag.
