For those who can not fathom the speech: The president has disclosed Ruto was against the handshake by informing the president not to bulge against the unrest which was witness a while back. The President rebuked pastors who are bribed by politicians subsequently lying to congregation. Also mentioned was Mr Munya for doing a brilliant job in agriculture sector, which Ruto when he was in the helm couldn’t achieve. The other offenders who leave trails in the process of stealing public funds are being prosecuted. But you need to understand how Govt works. The DP does not leave alot of trail in the process of Govt financial transactions. It is a matter which if taken to court, with a Judiciary that has more often than not proved to be unworthy of its name, a person of the level of DP would most likely win. In a few Ministries, the trail ends with the Minister while in most of the Ministries,it actually ends with the PS.

People are forgetting that the implementation of the 2010 constitution began with UK's administration in 2013. With a two-level govt and overrepresentation (too many leaders), running govt was inevitably going to be expensive, hence huge borrowing to finance both infrastructural and current expenditure. The Kenyan constitution gives whole mandate to the president and his deputy to run the country fully for two terms. If they allow any other agreements to tamper with tax payers money contrary to the law then it is really unacceptable in the so called democracy and it is actually bad leadership to be precise. He is the commander in chief and at times when he roars he is in charge I wonder which charge when he has failed terribly in this particular one 👉🏻theft. Uhuru´s botched government cannot and will not guarantee stability and rationality in Kenya. His manner of improvising every morning that he wakes up leaves the country political scarring, loss of credibility of the electoral system and atmosphere of feuding, recrimination and not talking of corruption. The contorted manoeuvring of political parties will lead to the worst outcome seen in the history of Kenyan politics Urgent matters require government attention. The economic and social conditions of the country as it exits the pandemic necessitate a steady hand. The question is; can these challenges be met by Raila and his Azimio? The answer is NO; since its the very same Raila and his ODM party that gave such a dismal performance providing essential support to the Uhuru´s government. First, the pandemic retreat may be in sight, but careful management is still needed. Phasing out of the emergency measures has to be planned and implemented, both in the economic and health sector. Ruto´s government must commit, to overhaul the public budget, reduce unsustainable debts, reduce taxes, eliminate waste and increase productive investment. All this must coexist with a credible public debt reduction plan. Third, trial procedures must be overhauled to increase efficiency and speed. This is a key reform in a country that has by far the longest trial duration in the World. The parliament has authorised the government to act by decree, and Uhuru has failed to safeguard the Constitution and fell short of leadership and integrity. New regulations must now be introduced linking retirement to life expectancy, with penalties for early retirement to ensure financial sustainability.

Truth be told, here is a leader whose heart is in the right place. Unlike many of his peers especially in our continent, he has remained firm & focused with eyes strictly on the ball.
