I don't understand why with such a huge choir (about 50-60 of us) we still don't have this type of power and beauty. I can't wait to be in a pro choir once I'm out of highschool

Because it's the little things that make the difference, and it's hard to get a large group of people to each perform to that level. It takes some people many years to adjust the way they sing to sound "pro" I'm in agreement, it's hard to get into it when you know the group doesn't have the "pro" sound :) In this video they did a really good job for high schoolers.

You captured the meaning so beautifully. Most performances (including some college and professional) are rather wooden and don't evoke the crystalline and soft beauty of the text. I was not expecting such a nuanced performance. The shaping of each note and your legator are lovely. Does my conductor heart good. Thank you and bravo!
