Glowforge Vs Thunder Laser: SPEED TEST!

Does the thunder bolt cut faster than the glowfordge? I am trying to find a comparison with no luck on cutting speed

Yes, it does cut faster....I do not have a comparison between the two to tell you how much faster though. Enough that we know it cuts faster. If we were focused on cutting only....we would for sure use our Thunder Nova connected to an eternal air compressor. That enables us to cut faster and cleaner.

I have a thunder and I can tell you that if you adjust the power speed and air just right there will be no smoke residue at all

That's awesome. We just don't have our air dialed in perfectly! We need to work on that.

How much is the thunder laser? How hard is it to learn to use etc as well.

There is several different models, so the best thing to do is to click the link in my description to talk to someone from Thunder to tell you the current pricing. As far as the learning curve...it went very smoothly for us. Thunder offers you an hour training session and we have NEVER taken them up on the offer because we caught on so quickly. The best thing to do is to realize that Glowforge settings have no correlation to most other laser brands. The Thunder has opened up so many possibilities that the Glowforge wouldn't allow us to do.

Curious, where could one find a storage rack like the one over your left shoulder during the intro of the video?

Fun fact, this was a rack that Hobby Lobby used for their matting material. They were selling the rack and I grabbed it! Works great!

I only have the Glowforge Plus. However, the speed difference between the Plus and Pro is not that much. They are both SLOW! lol

@@stevemichael8186 yeah, I’ve have a couple people want to send me a diode laser and so far I’ve turned them down. I don’t have the space for one really. But also don’t think I have a use for one lol
