The Glowworm Tunnel in Wollemi National Park near Lithgow is a disused railway tunnel constructed between 1906 and 1907 to transport shale oil from Newnes to Lithgow. Its most notable characteristic today is the resident Glowworms that inhabit the deepest part of the 400m tunnel.
This short film takes you on a journey through the glowworm tunnel. Using long exposure photography combined with modern video compositing techniques we have been able to bring these Glowworms to the screen as never seen before.
