This game was a masterpiece. The visuals, voice work, story. All were done so expertly. Gameplay was simply a product of it's time period, but still relatively original. I truly wish they would give this game a remaster. Fun fact: QTE ( quick time events ) weren't originated in GoW, they originated in Shenmue (2001) on Sega Dreamcast. The QTE system was developed by Yu Sazuki in house at Sega. Shenmue and Suzuki are the fathers of modern gaming.

Can tell you Evolution of mankind is forever made pointless because of those who have "The Advantage". I choose to believe men like Gabriel are possible, but poisoned by other men and women to be less. The way i see this story is that of a desperate man slowly falling into madness as he cannot deal with the loss of his beloved and he goes on a misguided crusade to kill all the people and destroy all the things in his path in order to fill the void in his heart. There are very few games in which the protagonist is secretly the evil guy. This is one of them.

It took me a few years to be able to play this first version of CASTLEVANIA LORDS OF SHADOW, because finding this game in physical media in my city is complicated, because I had the second version of the game in my console memory and later I lost it because of a storm and rain came into my room, wet the console and I had to buy it in physical media too, as well as having the console fixed, which fortunately was to change a part, but the games were all gone.

Both the first and second versions of CASTLEVANIA LORDS OF SHADOW are wonderful to me, BUT the degree of difficulty between the two is very different. That's not a complaint, but even so the game doesn't lose anything to any other version, except for SYMPHONY OF THE NIGHT that I love that game.

He needed to become a vampire to enter the prison of the forgotten one(zobeck and the other sealed him and the seal was tied to their life force aka why they tried to become immortal creatures of good and created the lords of shadow), since the forgotten one was going to break out due to the seal weakening and well he was kind of unstoppable due to his power as ruler of the element plane of darkness(Gabriel ended up absorbing his power and became dracul, aka the dragon) as for how, he took the blood from the vampire little girl who let him know about the seal and willingly gave him all her blood killing her It in the DLC for this game I believe if I remember where it gave from right
