Für mich ist Juan Diego Florez, der Orpheus unserer Tage! Der Klang Seiner Stimme, ist von Erhabener Betörender Schönheit! Für mich wohl die Schönste, die Ich hören durfte! Aber nicht nur Seine Stimme ist von Besonderer, Charismatischen hohen Qualität, sondern auch Seine Technik, Interpretation, Schauspiel und Seine Erscheinung! Für mich ist Er in Seinem Genre, ein Künstler vom höchsten Rang! Meine Verehrung, Dankbarkeit und Hochachtung, Ihm gegenüber sind tief und groß!

Starting from 27:00, L'espoir renait dans mon âme. This is an extremely difficult aria already. But Florez added ornamentation making it insanely difficult, but adds such momentum in the singing. He nailed every note!

The dancing was too much. It seems endless to me. Delightful music, though. So good to hear the role of Orfeo sung by a tenor. Superb technique, Juan Diego! It took my breath away!!! Finally I get to watch the whole complete opera. Juan Diego is magnificent in his role.

I was fortunate to see it when it was premiered at The Royal Opera House & loved it so much that I saw it again at La Scala.. Juan Diego was superb at both & ably supported by his female colleagues. The one thing I did NOT enjoy was Hofesh Scheckter's choreography - I can hardly call it dancing, much less ballet. However, I have the DVD & it's among my favourites.

А мне наоборот танцы очень понравились. И не важно был это балет или нет. Они были и страстными и воздушными , с живым чувством, а не набором красивых поз под музыку. Но, у каждого свой вкус. И здорово, что Орфей мужчина, а когда эту роль исполняет женщина это становится фальшивым бредом.

Die Berliner Staatsoper hat aus dieser wunderbaren Oper eine blutrünstige mit Sexeinlagen gemacht. Dann eher so wie gesendet und man kann die wunderbare Leistung genießen.

the costumes and staging were terrible, especially the endless ballet intermezzos where the movements didn't match the music. but beautiful music, conducting and singing. J'ai perdu mon Eurydice by JDF moved me to tears. And the idea with the orchestra moving on a platform behind the singers was really interesting.

Must make a mental note never to attend a dance performance by the Hofesh Shechter Company. I see a lot of admiration in these btl comments, but what a strange show this production was: a three-cornered fight for attention between a levitating and sinking orchestra, a tribal-style dance company thumping their heavy feet, and the tenor. 'Orfeo ed Euridice' (the 1762 version) is surely better, or maybe this over-physical production just brings out the bloatedness.

Muy mala puesta en escena : escenografía pésima y el papel dr Orfeo debe ser cantado por un CONTRATENOR y no por Flores que es tenor ligero regularcito...salvo para contados papeles.

Esta es la versión para tenor, escrita por el propio Gluck. Se diferencia de la versión para contratenor (menos recitativos, etc.)

Ich fand die Inszenierung sehr gelungen. Herr Juan Diego Florez, hat seine Rolle mehr als Orpheus, mehr als gemeistert, sowohl im Gesang, als auch in, Seiner Darstellung. Wie die Wirkung des Gesanges von Orpheus, bei Ovid beschrieben wird, so wirkt der Seine auf mich. Abgesehen davon ist diese Fassung, wie schon erwähnt, für Tenor , von Gluck bedacht gewesen.

mah…secondo me è un altra opera…altra che riforma qua diventa un gran casino…troppo alta la parte non ci sono colori delle voci tutte uguali…io preferisco Florez in Rossini…anche se questa opera sempre molto bella specialmente nella versione di Vienna
