GOD BLESS YOU!! Best of luck for everyone taking MCAT

I think you meant fructose 1, 6 bisposphatase for the reverse enzyme of step 3

Yes, you're right.

Yep F2,6-BP activates PFK so glycolysis can occur

All of this studying for the MCAT is not helping to keep my brain happy.

fructose-2,6-bisphosphate (F-2,6-BP) is the enzyme that inhibits Gluconeogenesis. Thank you for your video

I love when you say "well NO THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE" thank you!!

Hi correction! almost positive its Fructo 1,6 bisphoshotase that is the work around in gluconeogenesis. Fructo 2,6 bisphosphotase stimulates PFK, increasing glycolysis. Love your channel just wanted to bring this to your attention

Hey sorry, I’m a bit rusty on the topic, but my recollection was that its fructose 2,6 bisphosphatASE (enzyme) that degrades fructose 2,6 bisphosphate (small molecule)? Which then allows fructo 1,6 bisphoohatASE (gluconeogensis enzyme) to do gluconeogensis? I remember this was genuinely one of the most confusing topics for the MCAT but keeping a close eye on the ASE vs ATE suffix is the difference in this example between an enzyme or a small molecule? I have a video that illustrates this the one about glycolysis gluconeogensis regulation enzymes

you should go into a bit more depth about the specific enzymes of gluconeogenesis (Pyruvate carboxylase, PEPCK, fructose 1,6-bisphosphatase, and glucose 6-phosphatase.

Yeah, one day I plan to remake these videos in better quality.. and I was planning to go over key enzymes particularly rate limiting and key regulator step enzymes..

Well explained. Thank you

I was reading acetyl CoA stimulates pyruvate carboxylase. How does that work??

Isnt it glucose-6phosphatase in comparison to hexokinase
@sciencesimplified38902 жыл бұрын
Can I ask specifically what do you mean? Was there something I said that was confusing?
@meltemtutar4673 Жыл бұрын
@@sciencesimplified3890 around minute 2:38 you wrote fructose 6 phosphatase as the enzyme that reverses the first step of glycolysis. But it's glucose 6-phosphatase I believe
