27 Week Pregnancy Update: Our 28 week growth ultrasound went really well with Kingsley measuring right on track in the 53rd percentile and I am awaiting the results from my one hour glucose test.

We have an open adoption with our son’s birth family and it’s beautiful. He is almost 13 and I can’t imagine life without them in it. I definitely agree it can be complex but totally worth it. Many people do have the capacity to understand the relationship. Once I gained this mindset, the comments stopped bothering me. Love your channel!

So glad you are doing well! And thanks for the open adoption update! I found your channel when we were considering infant adoption 1-2 years ago, and you had the best content to help with that research. Now we are pursuing an open embryo adoption. So the IVF and pregnancy info is helpful for where we are at now - so glad this pregnancy is going well for you! (Our second embryo transfer is next week, so hopeful this will be the one for us!)

My second daughter was frank breech too! She had to get flipped manually from the outside (ouch). I'm so glad they did that though because I really didn't want a c section!

Yeah it was a bit of a process, about 45 minutes. Apparently the success rate is only 50%. But sometimes they flip on their own!

I’m so surprised they let you drink that in your car! So odd! This pregnancy and last I had to do it in front of the nurse while she timed it and then started the 1 hour clock like the second I was done. So crazy to me that they let you do it that way haha

Haha maybe it is because of covid procedures? But yeah, my clinic is letting people drink it at home or in the car and just report in the time.

Yeah the lab lady timed me for mine and then put in the orders for when my one hour was done. I failed my one hour so it was the same with the 3 hour. But with both I had to drink it in front of the lab lady.

Did they not let you get your RoGam shot until after you got your blood drawn for the glucose test? They didn’t let me get mine until the glucose test was completed because they said it could mess up the results of the test.

What does it mean by percentile?

Percentile is very similar to percentage. In this example if you took all the babies that were 28w and measured them, ordered them from smallest to largest, and then divided them into 100 equally sized groups, he would be in the 53rd group.
