Some of you wanted to see my glue book, and some wondered what the difference is between a glue book and a collage book. I answer both requests in this video. This is just my interpretation.

LOVE all the folding pockets. There’s a little surprise here and there. This reminds me of lap books I used in homeschooling my daughter. She really learned so much working on them.

Thanks, Barbara. I hope you will give a glue book a try. I have lots of videos of glue books: creating a glue book, gluing images into a glue book, and just flip throughs of books I've been working in. You don't need a special glue book, however. You can just glue images into an ordinary book or magazine. Or composition book. Whatever you like! Have fun!

Your definitions of collage book and glue book are right on to me. I try to be messy and just glue randomly but I still end up making patterns with colors or shapes or some kind of symmetry. : ) There are just some images that are pleasing to the eye and having somewhere to put them is a relief of a sort. I've tried the magazine version and it worked okay. You need to remove some pages. And I would suggest using something other than a glue stick. I used a glue stick and the images kept popping loose from the shiny magazine paper. I think it would work fine with a wet glue. :) Enjoyed seeing your books!

@DianeHubertPrettyPinkCottage4 жыл бұрын
Any kind of paper will work; you're going to cover it up anyway. I just like making glue books with a variety of papers because it's fun, and it's a great way to use up a bunch of my paper and book page stash! I just did some work in one of my glue books this evening, and had the camera on while I played. That video will be here on my channel on Wednesday morning, if you are interested.

@@DianeHubertPrettyPinkCottage thank you for replying. I haven't got the courage to make my own book yet. I just came across this "glue book" thing... Is this the same or similar to junk journaling? I have done just journaling adding scraps, pictures etc.. and will start on my first "glue book".
@DianeHubertPrettyPinkCottage3 жыл бұрын
For me, a glue book is in the same category as a junk journal, because I usually make my own glue books, junk journal style! But anything can be a glue book: a composition book, a sturdy magazine, even a hardbound book (just remove some of the pages, and then cover the other pages with your images that you want to glue down). There are lots of videos on using these types of books as glue books. I like to make my own because I have tons of supplies (papers, etc.) to make them with. The fun part is just gluing in images that you like! Have fun!
Very cool, fun glue books! They actually look like flo books you can add to, cut out to reuse, and even store favorite stuff in to do whatever you want with! Like a never ending usage book of ephemera to create and recreate. Fun.

Oh, that's sweet Linda. But one of my customers, whose last name starts with an H, already asked for it. I'm sorry. You're actually the 3rd person to ask for it. I guess that means I could have fun making more of these and people would want them! I love that idea.
