I’m watching this two years later 😊 just completed my first junk journal at age 70 and loved every minute of it. Took me right back to my childhood with the glue and paper , now I added stamps and inks and stickers. Wonderful 😂 enjoy your videos very much so thank you 🙏

I would love to see this every month, maybe even at times every 3 weeks! My grandmother kept a journal for 45 years. She included snips of fabric of items she had made, even if she was asked to shorten a dress or skirt. Lots of pieces from her church papers, too. I like to think she was ahead of times.

She must have been ahead of her times! I have made quilts with fabrics of clothing, projects, and other quilts I have made. Some are repeated, but there were quite a few different pieces. And, there were enough scraps to make an even larger one for our bed. I guess that's my journal. Would love to see your grandmother's journal.

I have only just started collage I was never allowed to tear up paper etc when I was young, so have just started in my 60's never to late to learn, also when I was at school my art teacher said I was useless so I used to read at the back,of the class. I actually got some of the clear envelopes and sorted scraps magazine and book pages and an architecture book pages Placed in envelops by page sizes and colors. Added my envelopes to a plastic file bin. I’m so ready for this relaxing way to learn more about my collaging. Oh yes indeed. Labels. I got a photo book with top loading pockets with 3 signatures and 400 pockets for my tags, labels, vintage embellishments, shabby chic items , bits of textiles ,laces and trims. Also many pockets of florals by season It’s been a life saver.

Being so unable to concentrate I keep organized using plastic file bins with files with my scraps by color snd images. Again the items made go in to my photo albums w top loading pockets. Life saver!! I also have not been collecting any more sizes of scraps less than the size of a 3x5 index card

As a Newby, scared of starting, all my empheria collected and waiting to be used, this video is just what I need. Chosen my altered book as my plain scrapbooks have riingbound pages which I'm not keen on. Thanks for sharing. Gonna use mine to put arty stuff, pictures I like, photos, some journaling, Autumn photos. I also want to use fabric scraps and pretty ribbons I have collected. I have to tell you that when I was a child I would cut out images of pictures from magazines and glue them into a scrapbook. I would keep cards and mementos and glue them in also! 😆…. Not only that, at Christmas I would ask Santa for a “box of paper products !” 🎅🏻🎅🏻He/she would always bring me a box of goodies! It was heavenly!😂😂 So…. I wish I could have back the 'glue notebook' of my childhood. I had forgotten I had one 🙂 maybe my relatively recent love for paper was inside of me from my early years. Thank you for the passion you are able to tranfer to us...it is not only paper and glue,it is joy❣Your page is fantastic!

Yes, every month for sure! I compiled a glue book using a old magazine, last year, over the course of 2 months, worked on a page every night, such a break from the madness of 2020. I love seeing your storage tips and Yes, my items seem to fill the floor around my work table!! Just listening to your voice and hearing you as you PLAY is so relaxing ,Yet inspiring!!! thank you Joie.

I just had to tell you how hat I was finally able to make myself adopt your method of collaging. I have been collaging for years, firmly plastering down every single piece immediately. Something resonated with me when I watched you do it your way. This morning I decided to just pick up bits and pieces on my work surface and glue them into my “trial and error” junk journal. I just started doing it your way and it absolutely FLOWED! As much as I liked your way, I was afraid my old method was so firmly ingrained, that I would be resistant (I’m old 😆), but the was not the slightest bit of resistance. I’m thrilled to death and SO enjoying it. I just had to find one of your collage videos and tell you…and THANK YOU! I’m not someone who is resistant to change, even though I’m old, so I have no idea why I thought I would struggle. I’m very happy! Thanks again!❤️

I have always hoarded paper and enjoyed using it in my own way, and never knew there were others like me until I discovered scrapbooking. Then art journalling, and now junk journalling came along. Thank you for letting me see that others like paper, shapes, and colors too. I have always found it hard to discard any paper (except dirty, of course!).
