I use flexifix for the same thing, on a ruff floor I like to spray round the edge of the room then put a very thin bead of flexifix on top and then I fix the gripper as normal, nail it into the floor. NEVER comes loose I’m pretty sure it’s designed for stair nosings, hence the fast drying time, it’s quite expensive stuff

Flex fix works great when the floor is primmed with water.

What did you do with the gripper already down in that room ? Spayed or not 😅

No spray I always fort it would stick better without spray and it just confirms it, 👍

That was a solid floor with no dust , try It on a crappy floor. I use primer sometimes.
