The best demo presentation I'd seen so far, to the Tyros (1). I have one myself and I'm not disappointed at all. I have heard Tyros 2 till Tyros 5, and don't think they have much differences in their quality sounds, although the years among the last one (5). I'm shure that the latest keyboards have more features like wave rithms and vocal specs. but in general, all Tyros sounds amazing.

Hello!! Look I had the Tyros 1 !! It was good!! then I had the Tyro 3 !! Awesome!! And now I have the Tyros 5 !! Sounds improve every year !! In fact, I have an excellent musical ear !! And I feel the difference! Richi

I enjoyed it. I know this keyboard is 20 years old today. However it still sounds like a Masterpiece. Still a great keyboard to have as a secaondary. I might hunt for one one day in a used gear music shop maybe i can get one if i decide to.

I own a tyros 2 and PSR s970. I still feel that the Tyros/genos models use a higher resolution sample. I prefer many of the string/orchestral sounds on the Tyros! Sometimes I feel when sounds have changed on upgraded models sometimes it isn't always an upgrade. Love this video has the sounds on Tyros 1 hold up extremely well today. Could be all used in an original composition of music

I remember wanting a Tyros 2 during my college years and considered buying a used one last summer and very nearly ended up getting a Tyros 5 just before I resigned so unfortunately buying a high end arranger keyboard never materialized. However nearly a decade ago when I saw a guy in the supermarket playing either a Tyros 4 or Tyros 5 when he said he used to have a Tyros 2 I said to him "personally if I had bought a Tyros 2 back in the day it would still be my current keyboard". And that's very true, I did also consider the Yamaha PSR-SX700 but sadly I can't afford any of them but I do have Haliion 6 as part of Cubase Artist 12 and some instruments like the saxophones sound very similar to Tyros 2 and to be honest Halion 6 is probably better for midi sequencing alongside other VST instruments like Spitfire Labs, BBCSO Discover and Kontakt.

@@LittleRichard1988 there are some amazing vst's. I'm using cakewalk connected to the tyros 2 and it's great midi sequencing with it!

A module version would have been ideal sure enough. The Tyros serious is excellent. I gladly owned a stunning Tyros 4 then T 5 (76) note and now I gladly own a stunning Genos.

I agree Barry, it should be a standard feature. There was some great Roland gear in the 90's that actually gave considerably more information if you plugged into a monitor, it was a great option :) Gearfacts

I wouldn’t be able to explain it in one short KZbin comment but we can still get the manual for this system online. Just search for the model number for eight by “PDF and the manual should appear. I use control+F (search particular word) to jump to specific sections, it saves a lot of time

These exact sounds today have been packed in PSR E453/463. Don't know how people used these voices for professional playing, IMO today most of these sounds are not usable, except random playing for entertainment or learning.

I think AMD has a point there. Also I've looked very closely at the PSR-E series (all of them) and I'm pretty sure the Tyros had a few sounds that you won't get on even the highest PSR-E models, although I do lurrrv the PSR-E, especially the 463. It is a very interesting comparison: Super high-end + 17 years = today's mid range :) Gearfacts

@@gearfacts Yes, Tyros have voices that lastest PSR-E doesn't have, like the vibraphone, some synth pads, bass, guitars, customizable organs, and MegaVoices. But the lastest PSR still have the piano sound of the Tyros 3, some choirs of the Tyros 4, "Super Articulation Lite" voices, and Tyros 2 drumkits. But in terms of features, the Tyros is better. Really.

The Sweet Soprano sax is still one of the highest quality soprano saxophone sounds I have ever heard on any keyboard. DSK even used that same soprano sax sample in his free saxophone VST instrument. I did consider buying a Tyros 2 last summer or at least considered it as my base choice and I came very close to buying the Tyros 5 before I resigned. So my Yamaha PSR-295 is still my newest arranger keyboard but fortunately it does include the Sweet Soprano sax, the PSR-295 was the first entry level arranger to have selected Sweet and Cool voices. It's fine for playing public domain songs like traditional Christmas carols.

The only time I tend to use pitch-bend on saxophones is when I'm playing the melody part of a song. Maybe I might consider going back to not using the pitch-bend all the time. I never used to use the pitch-bend that much with my PSS-790.

It is simply obvious. Tyros1 was released in 2002 and S710 in 2009, there is a huge difference. S710 is no match to the Tyros 4 or Tyros 3 compared to now.
