It's one of the best keyboards to buy I love it it has the best grand piano sounds and guitar sounds , all 385 voices and 100 styles are awesome, I even use this keyboard for composing music in fl studio

A couple of weeks ago I bought a used PSR E253(as a collection). What made me felt disappointed about the PSR E253 compared to its predecessor PSR E243. The PSR E243 model has USB host, but the successor PSR E253 has none. It doesn't make sense at all 😂. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think PSR E243 was the last PSR E series that has Tempo setting feature .

Hi Keith, nice little keyboard. Personally, I would advise any beginner to go for the PSR E343 though, because it is touch sensitive and it has 9 registration memory slot, as well as an aux in for a MP3 player. Nice set of sounds on the E243. Granted, the Grand Piano is a disaster, but there are some decent sounds such as the electrical pianos, the clavi, the organs are esp. good for an entry- level keyboard. A lot of looping on the string sounds, but well... And that baritone Sax really sucks... 😱 On the other hand, the more recent PSR E360, which is supposedly meant to replace the PSR E2xx series, is a disaster. It does have the sensitive keys but it lost the USB connectivity in the process, which is a shame since Yamaha USB-enabled beginner keyboards are usually class-compliant, which means quite a lot of fun with iPad apps, etc. Regards.

Keep pressing FUNCTION until you see REVERB appear on the screen. You should be able to increase its value.

You're local music store would be able to sort out a package deal for you, I'm sure. Personally I'd just buy one second hand, grab some basic headphones from a department store which will replace them if there are any problems, and just use KZbin for learning the songs/styles you desire :)

You can use headphones in this and it comes with a builtin trainer to give you those lessons... until your ready to buy some books or download some lesson sheets.

Haven't got a 3000 anymore sorry. It's one of the few instruments I literally gave up on. I really wanted to love it because it sounded so good but beyond live performance (which I am not good at) its features are just un-usable for me :(
