Gear facts i just purchased my MM6 today 04/8/2023 and itscan be used in reggae snd other genre of all of music and i love it for just the sounds. Organs are rich Clavi s sound so 60s pianos. Etc. Motif Classic sounds. This is my second one as my first one that i bought guy before me wrecked it. I got it reconditioned and have 2 of them i use my both in my rack. I just want to have the entire motif collects sets and i dont have to worry about vst s snd daws bc i use a stand alone recorder a Korg D3200 with many vertual tracks as well. I have a collection of different ones like the Korg D1200 mk2 and the Korg D1600 mark 1 and mk2 Roland Tascam Yamaha Fostex you name it. The MM6 has a main stay in my studio. With my MO6,MOFX6,and MX49. I got all complete sets with out the VST you have to pay for those each month where is i dont. I have that physical instuement rack or effects until keyboard organ effects at my disposal. ❤❤❤❤

A bargain at $100, the MM6 goes for around $250 here in Australia (2023)

Yep, love my MM6 & DJX even PSR-S500 (even with dodgy screen). Going to switch things up a bit using FX pedals etc - those can really give you some sonic possibilities especially pulling the samples in to Koala sampler or Flip sampler.

Bought one some years ago. Boxed at the moment so just going to get it out when I can. Was blown away by demos by the Swedish ? guy from Yamaha who made it seem outstanding. I think it has sounds taken from the Motif range too. 😁

I'm looking at getting a cheap used 61-key synth to use as an unweighted controller for my main keyboard with some on-board sounds for fun. Does a used MM6 sound like the ideal instrument for this role, or does anybody have other suggestions to offer?

I've got the KX25 from the same year~ it seems equally packed with a ton of patterns (but just for rhythm), yamaha cant just make a usb midi controller, its gotta have all the bells and whistles!

Replaced by the mx 61 same sounds but refaced all the presets same keyboard so too just in matter of a workstation

im glad i sold this crap sythh very trash synth only a few synth lead pads sounds are good drum loops are the same arpeggiator sounds types few and very bad and cheap quality.... mo6 much better
