Dr. Linda Schele's name keeps popping up in almost all my reference books on the Maya. It's great to actually see/hear her! She passed way too young.

"All of us who are Americans...we're taught that the history of the Americas begins in 1492...what the Maya have given us is one of the most detailed, rich, precise written histories that any human society has left us...when we teach our children world history we ought to be teaching them the name of Janaab' Pakal and Yaxun B'alam right along the side of Tutankhamun and Julius Cesar" - Linde Shele 24:12

Linda Schele is one of several people who seem to have fallen into Mayan studies almost entirely by accident. Another very important example is Tatiana Proskouriakoff, who was an architect and draftswoman. Both of these women made major contributions to the eventual decipherment of the Mayan hieroglyphs.

the first book I bought about Mayan culture was written by Linda Schele, it's about 35 years ago. This is the first time I hear Mukta Antz Chingon ( Large Woman F****r) as she was caled by the Maya's, speak. She shaped my vieuw and concept of the Mayans.

I have learned, if you know how to read something, doesn't mean you know the actual meaning. You talk about math, but how you write the equations, not just numbers. Exactly!

I just came to know this woman by another video, did not know she past away so felt kind of sad for her, I was hoping to meet her anlist by internet so she could see my work about the TZOLKIN a Mayan Callender and get some advise from her. If some one out there like to know about my work just click my logo and find the old Maya world mixt with Nasas Metric Data, just hope some one with Maya math will take a look at it and contact me.

"God" did not die for humankind; the Bible says THE SON (CHRIST) OF GOD (YAHWEH) is who died for mankind.
