Before seeing the video I was like "This song is too hard. Maybe they'll make a decent cover but there's no way they'll get anywhere close to the original one." And... I've never been this happy to be proven wrong. God, you nailed it. From the first seconds of the intro, I really liked the sound. Then I got really impressed at her on-point screams and her impeccable vocal control. Best cover of this song I've ever heard, really. Congrats, and thank you for the good feels. Totally unexpected and I can't believe you only have 1k subs. You gained a new big fan here. And I'll surely talk about you to my friends. Keep it up.

@@Seneric What Hybrid Theory has to do with a cover of Given Up? I don't get it. What I said is that to me this is the best cover i've heard of Given Up. That's my opinion. Now, responding to you, LP is my favorite band of all time, i've been a fan since 2007, heard all the albuns, HT, Meteora, MTM, ATS, Living Things, THP, OML, heard most of the demos (there are still demos that i'm discovering), heard all Mike's solo music (Fort Minor and solo project). Must say that i prefer the heavy music but with the years the more calm songs have grown on me, especially lyrics-wise, and in 2017 when OML came out i was supporting the band even with a lot of people critizing then, saying that it was not LP. I was here when the day that Chester tragically passed away, and to this day there are still videos from that era that i can't watch because it hurts a lot. I've been following then for almost 20 years now, was able to see then live just once in 2014, and now eagerly waiting to see then live again in this new era of the band. So happy to see the guys again, making music, playing live. So happy that Emily was the one to join the band, i've know her for years now, heard Dead Sara for the first time years ago, always thought that Emily had so much talent. I guess is you who are the person that knows nothing about the band and only heard HT and thinks LP is just HT, they are a lot more than that, my guy. If i were you i would listen at least to all their albuns first before coming here to say nonsense. Again, what I said is that, TO ME, IN MY OPINION, this is the best cover of Given Up that i've heard, its not easy to sing and scream the whole song, and if you don't see the effort and talent Glytsh put into this cover, then you do not have ears my guy.

Because the album Hybrid Theory was released on October 24, 2000. The album itself hasn't turned 24 yet. That's curious and strange. I would like to know how you found out about the band? Since you've allegedly been a fan for over 24 years. Anyway, I didn't even think the guy was referring to the tribute band, I know them but I don't listen to them. I don't really like that concept of being a band that tries to imitate LP. If it was just sang their songs that would be fine, but they even copy the dressing style of each member. I find that very strange and disturbing. That's why I didn't even think about this tribute band when the guy mentioned Hybrid Theory.
