I don't think it's a lack of confidence from the first show, I think it was purely just the nerves because she knew how the fans possibly could react. She never has lacked in confidence, over her whole career she has that in abundance. I think it's more like her nerves calm down and she let herself be herself but you were absolutely correct, she has been destroying shows ever since then. Mike is right when he said, with her singing it sounds like Linkin Park.

Beth you are amazing! I love, love this version of Linkin Park, Emily`s voice and energy is fire, I`ve listened to her since Dead Sara. I think it`s totally fine to continue as Linkin Park with a new singer. The connection she has to the Danny Masterson trial is not ok (and the scientology ofc), which I actually didn`t now about until now...I`m a firm believer of not separating the art from the artist, they exist not in a vacuum but together and you can choose how you interact and talk about that, not making excuses and at the same time be able to enjoy the music.

I understand that some fans will not accept a new vocalist, due to obvious emotional and affective ties with Chester Bennington at some significant time in their lives, but the band and the musicians need to continue, work, live... And in that sense, the band members had a lot of respect for the legacy of Chester and Linkin Park throughout the process of waiting to this moment, to choose the new vocalist and compose the new repertoire for the new album. That said, I'm not a passionate fan of Linkin Park, but I really like 2 or 3 albums, I'm liking what I've heard in terms of music and the care that Emily Armstrong takes with each song and the band's history. Having said that (a long prologue), Beth, I really admire your work, your way of expressing yourself and explaining in detail and in a technical way, without seeming too technical and without getting boring, which many of us don't realize when listening to a song . I'm Brazilian and if I come to Brazil, I would like to meet you and, who knows, we can record a music video together. If you want to talk about doing this remotely, we can think about something like that, too. Once again, congratulations on your work and success always!

A lot of people in the comments were...concerned...or perhaps a little smug (as in look at her, she can't sing) with some of her voice cracking. But after looking at some Dead Sara stuff, it seems to me like that's just how her voice works, with emotions and nerves piled on top. She certainly hasn't slowed down any on the recent live shows. Would really like a professional's opinion on it. Every other vocal expert I've seen on it has either done the studio version or the live of Emptiness Machine, which was the first song of the set with her fresh.

Hi Beth, I love your reactions. I think you should react to 'Negra murguera - Milo J feat. Agarrate Catalina (con Mex Urtizberea) | Sesiones ¡FA!'. It's a live version Argentinian song that mix a lot of rhythms and amazing vocals. Milo J is a seventeen yo Argentinian singer, and he is joined by Agarrate Catalina, an Uruguayan murga. It's an amazing song, originally from a group called Bersuit Vergarabat in the 2000s.
