I replaced on my SRX a few years ago part was 60.00 and was easy to access. Dealers probably would charge 300 to 400 dollars.

Already did this on my 3.6 last year, I had the same code going on and intermittent check engine light. Replacing the purge solenoid definitely solved the problem! :)

Like wheel speed sensor harnesses and blend door actuators, it's a part that's destined to fail on these cars no matter what!! 😁

I have already replaced the blend door actuators on my 2012 impala. I have owned the car 10 years and that's about all I have had to do to it. Still has the original brakes. It has been a great car. Thanks for posting the video. If I ever get those codes I will know what to look for.

I don't do a lot of stop and go driving, mostly highway miles. It only has 73000 mi.on it. I have changed the battery twice and installed a catch can thanks to one of your videos. Oh I almost forgot I had to replace both front wheel bearings. Luckily it was still under warranty then. @@CertifiedShadetree

Yeah this vapor canister went back on my 13 3.6. Naturally it was right as I was getting the car smog checked in 2020. Funny I've only had to smog the car twice and both times it failed. 2nd time was because of a back spark plug. LOL I love that scene you inserted, A-A-Ron?

Soapy water or Windex if you have either of those handy, even plain ole water. Something that'll evaporate once the part's in place is all you really need.

Shadetree, I have a 9th gen 2014,’you ever have issues with the gear shift not going into reverse/drive? The gear shift knob button is a little hard to push in and normally when I hit the brake pedal it goes in now I have to force the knob in along with the brake pedal, what could be the issue?

Sounds like the BTSI (Brake Transmission Shift Interlock) solenoid is failing. Remove your center console and check the back side of the shifter assembly. I believe it has one red and one black wire going to it. Put power to it and see if it releases the shifter. If it does, there's a broken wire somewhere (might as well check for those while you're in there!)
