Thanks Gary. Shows the work that the parts did and you have to rebuild to good status again.😁

Hi Garry, I just started watching few of your videos. You really are a wealth of knowledge. May suggest that you update your info on KZbin and included contact/workshop information? It may be helpful to get to you eventually. Best regards

Hey Gary. Thank you for the informative videos as always .. I have the same condition in a Toyota u140. Reverse slips when hot and there is bump in 3. I have checked seals at the rear and the metallic hoses and also changed the direct clutch from which was grooved but to no avail. Any ideas? I suspect that there is a crack somewhere since the center planetary gear was changed

Hi gary. I hope you can point me in the right direction. I have a 5r55s in a 03 ford explorer. I had p0760 and p0763. The transmission will not go over 5mph. All electrical is good. But when i drained all the trans fluid. And reinstalled fluid. The trans shifted through all gears. But after stopping went back to only 5mph. Then through the process of diagnosis. I drained the fluid again, and reinstalled. And it shifted through all gears once again. But then back to the 5mph. Any ideas? I would greatly appreciate it.

Those are electrical codes for shift solenoid C. You can unbolt the connector and see if any corrosion is in the solenoid pack if looks ok you may have to ohm the solenoid to see if its within spec

I put a new delco drum in every rebuild, I've heard later models don't tend to crack, but I still don't chance it. Do you know if they updated it somehow at some model year?

They did update. Maybe 2012 or 13

hey man i seen a bunch of videos of you rebuilding 44re/42re transmissions and i have one of those in my 99 durango that we just got from the junkyard, thing looked to be in great shape, put it in and reverse and 1st gear feel amazing but its not wanting to shift out of first gear, cant run the code reader either, if i unplug the far left plug on the ecm and plug it back in it lets me read the codes once but if i back out it wont let me do it again, really strange man. hoping it not the valve body or the ecm but its gotta be one of the two, i doubt the pressure govenor in those would cause this would it, i mean maybe my truck just doesnt like the scanner that we have hooked up? very confused here

Govenor sensor and transducer can cause no shift. cable is hooked up correct

@@GaryFerraroyes sir cable is hooked up correct, I’ve been watching videos and reading a lot of forums and people are saying those governors and the output speed sensor can be causing this issue, gonna give it a shop and pray it works, Thank you for the info sir, thinking about rebuilding the one that we took out of our truck to get some more experience, it’s me and my dad doing the swap so you can imagine we weren’t too excited when it didn’t shift 😂 I know 2nd gear can’t be bad because it didn’t even attempt to shift into it
