11:28 Wiki says this variant is named "Monster Chess" or "Super King Chess". Beyond that and its rules, it doesnt show or say much. I think this is pretty interesting and should be more widely known to show how devastating initiative is.

Interesting. I was in the "I don't know" camp, then he explained it and it became obvious. The example : "You can take a piece, hanging your queen and then move it away" is simple and makes a lot of sense.

Wow. I'm old enough that the date mentioned seems oddly specific. Stuff from 30-40 years ago would be easier to remember. Not many can do the things Anand has been doing lately.

Yeah the player with two moves would be able to pass by moving a piece and moving it back.

Problem being you would almost never want to do that. 2 moves is a ridiculous amount of initiative.
