In related news GM’s marketing team won an award for their breakthrough sales approach. They got hold of a turd from Mary Barra, had it bronzed, and then polished it. By proving they can polish a turd, sales are now projected to overtake Tesla in 2025

The way the interview was structured, gm is trying to reassure investors ice vehicles will continue to bring in revenues. I agree, if the market conditions do not change. The ev race is about being able to produce many batteries (the current limiting factor). At least gm sounds like they are working on it.

Global numbers are steadily rising, some markets very aggresively (china, europe). Ice drivetrains are garbage compared to evs, and then the cost per mile is much lower. Once evs become cheaper upfront, ice will collapse super fast.
