Yasser and Eric are a hilarious comedy duo. You've got the old gentle anecdote-spinning master and the lightning fast trash talking wunderkid hanging out telling chess stories and banter blitzing. It's like watching Yoda and Deadpool play cribbage in a thunderstorm. The people need more.

Watching Yass play is, although a rare one, a pretty valuable treat. TY Eric for making that happn!

22:53 is where Yasser takes the human response to shift the blame, but being aware of how to improve he turns the question around on himself and explains how to avoid the situation. Immaculate.

better than bob ross! I really appreciate what all of you guys are trying to do, as a beginner I find your channel on youtube and twitch the best learning resource, along with the stlouis chess club channel. Those short audio gifs are truly annoying. Otherwise, I love watching Yasser play. Agree it should have been with an increment. Perhaps 5/5 would have been awesome for him. Also, as a treat, I somehow enjoyed seeing him curse, it was unexpected!

Hansen is currently ranked 165th in the world. His 2617 rating (blitz 2578) makes him a pretty strong GM, but not what is usually called an "elite" player.

I don't think he's the first chess elite star. Bobby Fischer was very famous.

I think that anyone who wants to get into chess, and really wants to enjoy it, should probably watch Seirawan's lectures and watch him play chess. I doubt there is a person alive who loves the game as much as he does.

Unbelievable how fast these guys are in seeing tactical combos. Yasser was contemplating to take the pawn on e5 at 2:12 . Hansen saw that it was possible in a second. It took me 10 minutes to understand it AFTER they had explained it. I am an average player, my chess.com rapid rating is at around 1600. I will not improve at my age anymore (59), but I like to watch these brain giants just for entertainment.
@postnubilaphoebus966 жыл бұрын
The perspective changes rather quickly if you move up the rating ladder. I'm just a 2000 FIDE player but I thought it was a rather straightforward tactic. Visualizing the line might take one or two minutes, but then I'd be quite confident about my assessment. I'm pretty sure you could improve your game by the way; you're not too old. Just play some chess tournaments in a row and accompany that by chess training.
@dariusduesentrieb5 жыл бұрын
@@postnubilaphoebus96 the tactic you are referring to is it that somewhere between the captures you take his rook with your rook so the queen has to take?

I waited for the occasion that night... waited until he get very drunk ... then I matched him , he was so drunk, at one point he wanted to move with my bishop, he thought it was his bishop.. then when I won he wanted rematch I never let him :D so 1:0 to me:D had to be frustrating:D
