I knew Terry growing up - worked with his mother. His parents were wonderful in encouraging all of his talents, singing, dance, musical instruments, acting, etc. Wow has it paid off!!!! He is great!

"If I Can't Love Her" and "Home" Two songs from the 1994 Beauty and the Beast Broadway musical My mom's favorites 💔💔❤❤👍

Terrence Mann is one of my biggest “Broadway Loves”. I got to see BEAUTY AND THE BEAST just a few months into its run. IF I CAN’T LOVE HER had me sobbing. To actually be there, watching him onstage was a dream come true. And I got to talk with him at the stage door afterward. When I let him know I was from Kentucky, as he was, I like to think our conversation was a bit longer. Thank you for this channel. I just happened upon it and I’m thrilled.

That’s so cool. I wish I was born then so I could see it. I’m 19 now, but I so want to see the show on Broadway. I watch a lot of videos from it.

Terrence Mann is a very underrated actor. He is far more talented than others on broadway that get so much praise because of their race. Harry Groener is another incredibly talented underrated actor. He never stood a chance, broadway is very antiWhite men. I wish I could have seen them but most of the plays they did were before I was born and I live away from those theaters. I also wish Terry had choose to work in movies instead that way I could watch him, but mostly because he deserved so much better.

Terrence Mann will always the best in the entire world to me, I don't care who disagrees. When I'm depressed or sad, all I have to do is listen to him sing, and i feel better, and millaydee1, i agree with you completely. I will always believe he is the best and no one will change my mind, Terrence Mann is, and always will be, my hero.

Guess what -- I saw him on stage as Frank 'n' Furter when I lived in New York. First I saw Tom Hewitt, whom I liked a lot. Then Hewitt left the show and when I found out TM had taken on the role, I ran like a maniac to the theatre and got a ticket and went again. He was GREAT! I've been a fan of his ever since I saw him in Les Mis.

Thanks for uploading! It's a very nice video. Susan is such a talent! I love Terrence's facial expressions when performing "If I Can't Love Her". He's so into his role that you instantly believe he IS the Beast.. and I mean in the good way. The tormented man, longing for love and a way out.

It actually makes sense that this movie would be turned into a Broadway musical because the song lyric writer & executive producer of the movie, Howard Ashman, was a Broadway producer and he put the feeling of Broadway into the movie. Sadly, he passed away in 1991 from AIDS at the age of 40. The movie was dedicated to his memory. He would've definitely loved to have worked on this musical and overseen everything. But still this musical would've not been possible if it hadn't been for him if you think about it. Alan Menken, who wrote all the music for the movie and was a very close friend of Howard's, oversaw everything and wrote new music for the musical. Yes, a new song that was put into the musical was written by him(and Alan Menken), "Human Again." It was originally written for the movie but it was not made(until years later) due to time constraints. When the musical was being made "Human Again," was put in as well as 4 other songs. They had to add new scenes and songs to make it longer. A movie has to last about an hour and a half but a Broadway musical has to last an entire evening which is roughly 3 hours.
