I'm still waiting on the gear for my Edwardian Butler's head. His chest used to work perfectly, but I guess since I've kept him still for so long, the motor seized. I tapped it several times and it started working again. However, the plate doesn't like to go out, or if it does go out, it doesn't like to come back. I had to manually spin the pulley. The belt is there, but it looks a little sloppy. Is there 1 belt and pulley setup, or is there 2?

Hello! I was fortunate enough to recently buy a NOS 2011 Ghostface but found the torso movement isn’t working (it may have never worked as this item was new/untested). I can hear the motor turn on (sounds a little rough) but nothing happens. The torso does move freely. The head movement seems to be limited as well but I’m guessing it may be tied to the torso. The arm does move up and down. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

What kind of round rod axles are used for the gears on Jason's head movement. I just bought one and its missing all the gears and axles in its head. It can easily be fixed once I know the type of axle used.

By the same gear do you mean the exact one in neck area or same gear part # but different location to replace inside the head. If you have to get in the head, i am curios how you go about getting your hand in there for the operation

What grease do you use in the gear box? I am going through my 2006 Dead Eye Drake and find most silicone greases very thick. The original grease is a bit thinner. Also, any suggestions for the head and body movement motor replacements. Mine are a little weak. Thanks.

White lithium grease I believe works and for the head motors it can be very hard to find the correct type searching eBay would be your best bet

how do i remove top half shoulder assembly from motor assembly on a gemmy leather face tested the board with a extra motor all circuits appear fine its this plastic ring i cannot get to come loose i see no screws or the like holding this ring that prevents me from removing shoulders from motor assembly thanks for any advice also i checked the gear took it out no cracks the motor itself doesn't spin

I have a Dr. Shivers and his mouth isn't working. The motor world in the mouth gear box. I removed the screws but it still won't open. There is a circluar clamp on the outer pin. How do I removed it or is there another way to open the gearbox?

Hi. I have the same problem with my Gemmy Edwardian Butler. I ordered those 10 tooth gears from that link, so they're on the way. One thing - the motor shaft is splined, and the drive gear is also. Are these gears from Amazon splined, or will the shaft cut grooves in the hole to make them that way?

Once you push the gear on it should take shape of the splined shaft without an issue might be difficult to push on but with some force it should work

will the 8 tooth gears you listed work for the Big Mouth Billy Bass head motor? I measured the shaft of the motor and it is 1.95 mm. The detail of the gear says the hole is 2 mm.

Is there any way to avoid the circuit board from frying? Are the main causes for a fried board are due to leaked batteries and misuse of an incompatible adapter that over charges the board?

These old gemmy life sizes dont take batteries. Sometimes you can prevent it, components sometimes just give out after awhile. These are very old now so they tend to have more issues with boards now

You may have got your answer by now, but just try to keep it out of the rain, or any harsh weather, ALWAYS use the correct adapter, right down to the millimeter and everything. Lastly, never tamper with it while it's in motion. (Say if the head is moving, dont push it so it goes real fast.) Hope this helped!

I have a 2009 Jason Vorhees and the body gear seems bad so I got it apart but I can find no way into the body gear motor, it seems to be one piece. While I was in there I replaced the head gear. Never saw one that was a one piece gear body like this.

Where can I find a replacement head tilt mechanism for the Gemmy Life-size Animated Witch with cauldron. It’s missing a small gear from the shaft on the front of the mechanism. It does not have teeth like a gear. It’s a small smooth cylinder shaped part. Her head tilts forward but won’t move up again.

I screwed up and knocked the 2nd smallest gear, the one that touches the 10 tooth 2mm gear, down into his body and cant shake it out or find it. Any clue what that gear is called or if i can order it?

I dont really know where to get other gears and what they are called. You may had to open the bottom or something and try to get it out.

More teeth can jam it, less wont be enough to make contact most likely, and it will also make the mech noise, it could grind, or even jam as well
