Thank you Sir for your service. Being a school bus driver is a very challenging job, considering how children are today. Once your children get use to, they will respect you. I drove for 8 years. They learned that when I pulled up to a railroad you could hear a pin drop. When I drove you only had to take a week training which it was taught by one of the mechanics. The benefits was great not only did my children rode my bus husband was a football coach so our health dental eye was free. We didn't have to pay for daycare because I took them to school picked them up and was off on holidays which was paid
@jordanmorris58273 жыл бұрын
Do you only get paid for the time you drive the bus or do you do other type during school hours?
@earvetta3 жыл бұрын
@@jordanmorris5827 Yes you can drive schools for field trips. When I drove back some 20 plus years the pay was $12.90 per hour you get paid for 3 hours per day, even if your bus route is only a hour. Which most routes are under 1hour and a few minutes. You're paid during the summer months and holidays. There's a big demand for drivers. You do have to get your CDL now back when I drove you didn't have to. Had to take a driving test to get state city license

My respect to him... That's the only way someone could do this job... School Bus driver are super underpay... I'm living in NYC I took this year off from my carrier to help the shortage of School Bus driver is disrespectful the salary they received for the work they do $20 an hour is split shift job the horrible traffic in NYC all five boroughs, most of the companies don't pay holidays the help insurance is so expensive most of them can't pay plus the quality of the Bus a new driver get is a junkyard Bus and dirty, winter break in December, February and spring break in April those driver don't get full week pay they have to apply to unemployment... I can count more etc to show why the situation is like this with School Bus Driver's plus with all the changes are coming in 2022 to get CDL license the situation will be worst... Truck Driver's moving boxes, bottles and construction stuff etc make way way more money and get better benefits than School Bus Driver's those who drive in safety manner lives... Kid's and Juvenile (the future of this society)

Good On Mike Mason. Lovely story. In Japan, many people who reach retirement, go on vocational courses and learn to do OTHER work - because *if you stop doing something with your Life, you will die.* So there are company executives and auto mechanics being re-trained, re-purposed and sent of to other countries to practice their new skills and bring Life to the under-privileged.

I’m sorry to say this, but he may be able to spot “children of interest” before an issue occurs on campus🙁 Schools need trained professionals with his skill set (observation).
