David J: Black Panther isn't a person, it's a title that can be described to anyone who gets the throne, regardless of their gender. Shuri gets that title in the comics, and therefor is the Black Panther and the main character in the 3 vol of the movie.

I saw the first showing today and no amount of hype for *_'BLACK PANTHER' (2018)_* is undeserved. Even if you know NOTHING of the comic books or the superhero characters at all it stands as a work unto itself.
