The Prime Minister has denied that free concert tickets and a face to face meeting with Taylor Swift were a thank-you for providing the popstar with a police escort whilst she was in London.

In my view Taylor Swift required protection, I'm glad the tax payer picked up the tab. The controversy here, is to do with the freebie culture. The rules need to be tightened up, more transparency more fire walls put in place, let's have politicians with a little more credibility. Of course there are little if no freebies for some of the poorest pensioners in the UK. We live in an era where compassion is at a net zero. Some of the poorest people in society should not suffer this much. Please restore the winter fuel allowance, please find some mitigation.
