Labour have shelved the social care cap that was meant to come in so hospitals will be left with more and more patients.

@briankerrison8504 unfortunately with dementia care running at £50k plus per annum the pensioners home will soon be gone, best option use all you money up and then the government has no choice but to pay for it.

@Skygrey2943Күн бұрын
Does it make sense that I pay tax but have no kids and some gets spent on education? Yes because I want to live in a society that functions for everybody. We are taxed because it pays for various essential institutions that are needed for our country to flourish. We need roads, courts, prisons, emergency services, healthcare, welfare, education and more that we are not even aware of for our country to run smoothly and safely. Private schools are a business and they should be taxed as one. I would go further and abolish them. Then we could start saying that we live in a meritocratic country but that's just me. That said, it improves education standards for all when the elite send their kids to the same school as everyone else's.

ITV and the rest of the channels give Kwarteng too much of a platform. They cant find anyone better it seems, and Kwarteng probably needs the money. Considering he was sacked on a plane via a text message, why is he relevant any more, and even Ashworth was voted out at the last GE. The programme has become a joke.

Can we finally just agree that the NHS doesn’t work anymore. Let’s reform it, we don’t have enough infrastructure to cope with the amount of people we have. The only way is economic growth to get more money but people won’t like the remedies for that.
@MKhosla-wb5bfКүн бұрын
People do not want to work in the NHS because of the structural systemic problems in foundation and trust operation across NHS. So of course you have a shortage of staff front when 64% is management and only 36% of 1.4 million people who work there are back office operation.

Problem is they can go to US, Canada, Australia, Middle East, etc and get paid double or triple for less hours. This cannot be fixed as UK tax the highest and give it away on benefits and pay for crazy things like foreign aid, putting people coming from France in hotel, and carbon capture, etc.
