Sherlock Holmes and Watson are out camping and in the middle of the night Holmes wakes Watson and asks him, what do you deduce? Watson looks up at the sky and says, "we are on a planet that moves through a galaxy filled with millions of stars". Holmes replies, "No, you idiot, someone's stolen our tent!".

unless you are a proper composer who did original work, obviously everyone is influenced by some sort of music....like art, went through so many phases because people copied each other but then added their own personal touch , at least the good ones did...

"great artists steal, lesser artists borrow" -Igor Stravinsky
@sameash3153
@sameash3153 3 жыл бұрын
So many famous pieces of classical music that were borrowed from another composer. Handel's "Arrival of the Queen of Sheba" is a reworking of Telemann's Concerto for 3 Violins in F Major's first movement. The introitus from Mozart's requiem is a reworking of Handel's "the ways of Zion do mourn", and the Kyrie Eleison immediately after is a reworking of Handel's "and with his stripes we are healed". Vivaldi's famous Gloria is 90% plagiarized from some random Italian dude. Bach's bist du bei mir, every vocal major's most recited piece, is by some dude named Stolzel.
