i just want to thank you for posting this. Before I learned that you could learn exercises from KZbin, I thought all there was to fitness was pull ups, pushups, crunches, and squats. I saw gymnasts doing more complicated things and I never thought I could ever do them. Even as a kid whenever I tried to do a handstand, I continued right over and landed on my back. Now, in just 1 year of exercising with youtube, I've learned a handstand from pigmie, the pistol squat from saturnomovement, fitnessfaq taught me the reverse Nordic (the full Nordic is maybe coming) and convinced me to buy gymnastic rings, and this channel taught me to do (so far) a 1 legged front lever. I just love all the different approaches you can get this way, and every approach seems to unlock something different.

That's great - KZbin has really done great things for how we're able to find info and learn new skills. Really blows my mind how much faster people learn now than they did just ten years ago. Congrats on the progress - keep going!

I only recently started messing around with the gym rings at my gym. Hardly anyone ever uses them, so I'm immediately impressed with myself. And it feels so darn good to know that my core is strong enough to do some simple stuff with no strain whatsoever. Highly recommend them.

You mean the rings version of Integral Strength that came out last year? Or the muscle-up course that came out this summer?
@PaulSmith-qs1es
@PaulSmith-qs1es 2 жыл бұрын
What's the theory behind doing pushing before pulling? In my non-ring work outs, I always do the opposite. Since I always start with pullups (hardest) and finish with pushups (easiest).
@ryanhurst3068
@ryanhurst3068 2 жыл бұрын
I'll change the order depending on what the focus is that day. Some days the pulling move will be more difficult so it'll be first. Or I might want to finish with a pull based on the L3 combo, like this session where inverted rows are last. Reason is that the harder moves in this case are above the rings and safer to do those when fresh. Save the below the rings moves for last. Lots of different protocols one can explore.
@RoshinrajRavi

I normally alternate between push and pull. Not sure if that's an effective strategy for rings. Thoughts?

I stared this a while back but found it manageable to do level 1 but difficult to move on after 6 months also my energy is always low, any good pre work out drink suggestions?
@gmbfit
@gmbfit Жыл бұрын
Drinks aren't going to fix this. You need better sleep, an appropriate workload, and good food. If you have those things dialed in and still feel lethargic around workouts, you should see a doctor. Pre-workout is basically just caffeine with some extras. It can't solve a fundamental energy balance problem.
