Welcome to the wonderful, crazy, sometimes exacerbating, many times rewarding world of GMC motorhome ownership. Be sure to join GMCMI and your regional chapter. The community around these coaches is extraordinary. Also be sure to get a copy of the Blacklist. It's a list of people willing to help around the country/world. And please keep the great videos coming!! 🙂👍🙂

Thank you Peter. Also appreciate you looking out for us and the community. Louise enrolled in the GMCMI and we received our package this week. Very helpful and useful info. SPACEBUS is at Borrmanns garage (found through GMCCI) and having a mechanical assessment and check over. Looking forward to finding out our next steps. 😳😂. Best regards, Ian & Louise.

I just purchased a 1975 GMC Palm Beach in serious need of restoration. I do not have the skills nor the patience to do what you are doing so I am turning mine to the pros of Florida GMC CO-OP in Orlando. I highly recommend that you check Jim Bounds videos on you tube. He is the owner of the CO-OP and a super helpful guy. Wish you all the best in your restoration project.

Hi Bill, congratulations on your purchase! The nice thing about these motorhomes is that they are without computers or microchips to complicate things. I have watched lots of Jims videos and he appears to be the master Jedi of GNCs. I am not a mechanic, an electrician, carpenter nor a plumber. I learned a lot from my father about how to fix things. I have learned a lot over the past few months by watching and reading. The journey is also a big learning curve. Good luck with your restoration.I think you have it in the best hands. 👍

A little bit of advice for what it is worth. Waterproof (roof, rails and windows) before you start to head in the other direction. Damaged new installation is tear worthy. Also, try to get out and use it even if it isn't finished. Don't let it turn out to be all work and no play. Best of luck and looking forward to watching your project! Dear Norma, thank you for your comments. We fully concur. Right now, we just transported it to the garage for all mechanical evaluations and updates. After that, the next plan is to completely seal from water ingress (we do have some that I have already remediated). We may have the vehicle painted and if so, this will also require much work before we progress further. Great advice and thank you for taking the time to comment. 👍 Best regards, Ian and Louise.

Hi, congratulations on your GMC "Spacebus" purchase. From the licence plate it appears your are in Ontario Canada. We've had our GMC since 2008 and belong to the local GMC club called the GMC Heritage Cruisers. Our members are from Ontario and NY state and we normally get together about once a month from May through October. Your coach appears to have been renovated by "Sheridan's" just north of Toronto in the 90's. My coach was also renovated by Sheridan's by the previous owner. Not sure where you are located, but we are near London. Let me know if I can be of any help.

Thank you Bruce. We joined the GMCCI but not got around to a local chapter yet. Really appreciate your guidance and suggestion.

Hi Bruce, thanks again for the guidance and info. FYI, we dropped off the SPACEBUS last week at Borrmann’s. You will see it detailed in our 4th video which went out today. Best regards, Ian…
