GMC Sierra 4.3 Borla ProXS

Got a new exhaust for my truck. It's a Borla ProXS & also the truck has no cats. The muffler still needs to break in. It'll get louder, I'll probably take another vid in a month or so. Super Dragon here i have a 2005 Blazer 4.3 of course...just went yesterday and had a Maxport single chamber (super10 knock off) welded muffler put on my lil six shooter 262 c.u. duals coming out behind my rear tires sounds nice but im wondering do welded mufflers break in after a while or no.....either way im loving the way it sounds....hope your 3 inch project turns out the way want it.

@chadt4 the muffler is 3inch in 3inch out so piping after muffler is all 3 inch. Tips are 3.5inch if I remember correctly and I'm running stock manifolds and I removed the cats from y-pipe

removed cats & the muffler was a borla pro xs, i don't remember the case lenght but it was one 3" in two 3" out with 3.5" tips

Won't sound like this, different design. The 2014 and older 4.3s are V8 based, these newer 4.3s are it's own thing

@@josephoverstreet5584 2014 was the last year of the vortec 4.3. It became the Ecotec 4.3 for 2015 as entirely new engine. Again. GM produced the 4.3 vortec in various forms from 1985 to 2014. All provable with a little research.

@@josephoverstreet5584 the 2008 to 2014 chevy express/gmc savanna vans had the 4.3 vortec and the last 4.3 vortec to be produced at the Romulus Powtrain plant was produced March 7th 2014... Therefore the last 4.3 vortec was in fact 2014.

It can make the car make popping noises while Downshifting if you remove them and the exhaust flows better
