Metric tire sizing throws people. In a LT225/75R16 the 225 is the width. The "/" indicates a Ratio for the second number 75. So the height of the sidewall is 75% of the 225 width. So if you want a shorter tire you can change width but that is not a direct. A LT 225/75R16 is about 29.5 inches tall and a LT245/70R16 is also about 29.5 inches tall. An 8.75R16.5 is also about 29.5" tall.

“Clear as mud”(settling), thx Jim, I get your drift on trying to keep an antique up to date, always a work in progress. A target, if I may, rims/tires/gear ratio/engine rpm sync for best power, and/or, rate of fuel consumption could be ultimate focus. Thx again

'71 Revcon owner here. (Same issue with ours).Went to Stockton Wheel to change my 16.5's to 16's. They work great, the original hub always fits!

Best sound and content yet. Stereo rocks For ION rims, what lug nut torque is recommended? What stems do you recommend to use for ION 16" rims with Firestone Transforce HT-2 tires? My 16" steel rims are stamped 126202 and 09 99

Hey I'm looking to fix up an old farm truck (grain truck) and tracking down info on tires is a pain.. It's a 1960 GMC 950 (2 ton) 10,200lbs GVWR 10 lug rims 8.25-20 tire info on the tire (10 ply) Bias Ply I wouldn't mind using the newer tubeless style tires for it... any advice on getting rims?

I have seen pictures of a rolling chassis for a GMC motor home that the steel rims look like 5 stud truck or car rims is this adapters or maybe Toronado rims?

I have a question. I have a Chevy jamboree 1983 and it has 16.5” I want to change to 16” it’s a dusky. Do you have the rims I need for that vehicle?

I have some older steel 16 rims but they touch the calipers on the front, should I grind the calipers?
