I recently did this on friends 2007. The bad connector was under the right front passenger carpet near the fuse box. Good video Tim

Thank you for this video. Saved me a lot of time from having to take the inside panels out to evaluate the wiper motor. the only thing that would have been nice is getting the rubber gasket off of the connector. That was harder to do that I expected, but it appears the thick black square part of the rubber boot is where you have to push up pretty hard to get it to release.

Tim I really want to say thanks, I looked at my truck this weekend and had exactly the same issue. My defrost and wiper are working now just from disconnecting and reconnecting the connector. I'll fix it the same as you did when I get a chance. I probably would have gotten the power probe out and pulled the trim off the tailgate and wasted money on a new wiper motor.

Nice job, Tim. Very practical. Dealer would likely sell a whole new set of connectors, same design that failed, with extra time to de-pin everything. I like your choice of larger gauge wire for the pigtail.

Good video Tim. I’m having electrical issues as my alarm and passenger door lock don’t work. Also my A/C will not charge even with a new compressor. Have power to the dryer and the compressor itself. I think I may need a new BCM. As systems go in and out of action.

Yep too small/weak connector pins, two or three thiner wires/pins might of been better. A million years ago i fixed the gator wires on a little hatchback car. Almost every wire in the gator had snapped. I soldered in 18 inch extention wires so the solder joins appeared well inside the door and in the body. it didnt dare fail again lol. Heatshrink covers my bodgy solder joints, did i just say that :-D

Heat shrink covers a multitude of sins. I should wrap myself in heat shrink.

Is that burnt connection you repaired on a fused circuit ? Timely video for me. My '02 Suburban has inoperative rear wiper.

Yes. It’s in the battery junction block I believe.

Question ???? I have a 2008 Tahoe and when i get going about 4o 45 miles a hour or uphill the valves start rattling in the motor or what sounds like it is !! when i back off the gas it stops only makes that sound when doing those 2 things Do you know what or anything else i can check on it is ??

Hey I have a 2006 chevy tahoe and my rear windshield wiper isn’t working. It just makes a buzzing noise! I looked at the fuses they look good and I looked at the wires in the rear and it looks good too nothing is burnt or off!

I think I’ll run them up the walls and over through the attic. I probably should have put them under my floor slab but didn’t get them in before my concrete guys whipped out the floor.

You can but the circuit isn’t hot unless the switch is on.

Bro someone peeled me for some catalytic converters and it's over 1300$ each that part is on back order so we can't even buy them now we out of a box truck and someone in anchorage is out there stealing catalytic converter.

How heartbreaking. It’s becoming a huge issue around town. I know some of the guys buying cats will watch out for you but sadly others don’t care just greedy.
