It runs along frame. We rolled one in the field a few months back playing around 😂 its the torsion bar between front and rear seats along the frame.

Torsion bars go between the control arms. So from front wheel to front wheel. Not along the frame from front seats to the back seats.

@@thejakefromstatefarm6768 That is incorrect; the torsion bar slides into a slot on the back/rear facing side of the lower control arms, and extends back to a cross member where a torsion bar key is attached and can be adjusted. They are on both sides of the vehicle. You’re thinking of a sway bar.

That long black bar is called a Torsion bar. It's used instead of leaf or coil springs on heavier trucks. It's locked into the suspension and actually twists when the vehicle suspension goes up and down. Prayers for both parties involved!

Considering if both were doing as little as 45mph each the combined speeds is 90mph on impact. Doesn't take that much speed to cause life threatening injuries.

I think you need one of those lapel microphones if you're going to be talking a lot while driving .... there's a lot of road and engine noise, so getting the microphone nearer your mount will only improve things. I love watching your videos but sometimes it's really hard to follow what you're saying :D

I don't know whether that gets added back to the videos in editing or is recorded alongside the video on the GoPro or phone. I'm sure if you reached out, you could compare set ups :)

They're supposed to get mangled, it's called a crumple zone. That Yukon is from between 01-06, they don't crumple even close to as much as newer ones do.

Yeah we have that capability, but that would keep the road shut down twice as long as it would to just do it while we’re there and be done with it. Plus it’s expensive and we couldn’t charge for it.
