I have been dealing with the same heart issue for 25 years. My advice is to give up all caffeine, and stay active. It never goes away, but become more manageable in stressful situations. Sounds like something i dealt with for about 6 months from end of 2022 through the spring on 2023. If you don't already have one go to see an EP, an electrophysiologist, it's a heart doctor that specializes in the electric rhythm of the heart, honestly had no idea doctors like that existed till i was at my worst dealing with this in the hospital. I was having episodes multiple times a day and it was draining the life out of me, was scared to do anything really. i had two cardiac ablation surgeries over those 6 months and it changed my life, very safe and normal procedure and is the best way to get an idea of what's going on with the electric rhythm of your heart and if that's the issue. Sadly my issue stems more from the nodes on my heart not working properly, so to really fix it i'd need to have a procedure that has a high percentage of me needing a pacemaker if it doesn't go in my favor and at 26 years old, just doesn't make sense. But staying off caffeine, limiting how much sugar i take in, and being on medicine that controls it but doesn't mess with my energy level has made a worlds difference, i still deal with little blips but it's much more manageable and the biggest thing for me, i know why it's happening. The uncertainty during those 6 months was the hardest part to get through, just know if you're dealing with something similar it's not gonna kill you and you can fight through it, but it's good to really get to the root of the issues so you can move forward with out any uncertainty. You got it G!

I had open heart surgery last year and afterwards I was having a similar heart condition where my heart beat would go into an abnormal fast rate (180 bpm) for hours. The doctor put me on a beta blocker and I had to remove both caffeine and alcohol. Since making those changes I have not had any fast heart events again. You will find the triggers that are causing it. Glad that you shared your condition with us. Good luck Gerrit you’re an inspiration to many young men today.

Sounds like Afib you're dealing with. I had the cardiac ablation surgery down in Austin at St. Davids by Dr Gerald Gallinghouse. It's world renowned and I believe he was part of a team in San Francisco that pioneered the proceedure. Get it done! The longer you wait the more difficult is to correct according to Dr. Gallinghouse. They have all kinds of stats on it. And yes, stress and caffeine are not good for the condition.

ICD implant and meds and it seems to be under control. My doctor didn't think it was anything major, told me the same to get more sleep and avoid stress. The only reason they caught mine was I had to be cleared by a cardiologist for a surgery for a totally unrelated thing. Heart issues can range from very minor to extremely deadly. Since then, I get lightheaded whenever I get up or I’m bent down for a long period, also the anxiety and stress is certainly a trigger. Just a few days ago after several tests I have been told it could be something called Vasovagal Syncope. I have been told to cut out caffeine and drink as much water as possible which seems to be helping a lot. Still awaiting more tests. I’d be really keen to hear about your diagnosis as you move forward with docs. Really cool for you to talk about something like that when you have such a big platform to share. I tried everything from CBD oil to therapy, nothing helped it really until i came across Box Breathing exercises... 4 seconds inhale, 4 seconds hold, 4 seconds exhale, 4 seconds hold...
