The commentary from Ryder is just awesome throughout the vlog parts and the golf parts. Also, I think the original audio like in this video is a lot better than the mics because when you talk it feels more personal and you can hear if the shot is good or bad based on the sound of the face.

Poppy Hills is tough even without the fog! I was able to play the Olympic Club in the week after the Open in 1987. The rough was cut to 2” from the 4” it had been for the Sunday finale, but everything else was the same. It was insanely hard…

The golf ball actually travels further in foggy/humid conditions. The water vapor in the air replaces nitrogen molecules, which are actually heavier than the H20 that are replacing them. This makes the air less dense, allowing the ball to cut through the air much easier.

Poppy Hills is one of my favorite golf courses. I lived in San Jose for 8 years and, as an NCGA member, was able to play the course several times. It's a Pete Dye design and the greens can be very tricky. Great content guys. Thanks for bringing back some memories of a great golf course!

I played Poppy Hills back in 1989 on the day of the big earthquake. It felt like a train drilling under the fairway and lasted about 15 seconds. We kept playing and finished our round.

So happy you get to play courses that I wish i get to play at LOL. Poppy Hills is such a beautiful course and I'll always have fond memeries playing here several times in tournaments. I also really enjoy the vlog content because I love watching golf and vlogging videos so this is the best of both worlds! Also I can't wait for the SB vlog because I go there all the time!
