Can't believe some people still can't make a difference between a Streamer's persona and who they really are, Blitzstream already expressed how appreciative he was of Hikaru and his praise, as for being overrated I don't think anyone who got a draw against Magnus and Alireza among others would deserve to be qualified as such

Nobody can deny that Kevin is extremely strong at calculations and tactics in online games, but neither Carlsen nor Alireeza took him too seriously, while he played the games of his life against them, hence the draw. I'm sure that if any IM, not even GM, unleashed their full force Kevin would not stand a chance

He was making a preemptive move to recapture on that square if the opponent captured his queen. If the opponent didn't capture the queen, his premove would have had no effect. But it's a way to make a move you're expecting to have to make without using time off your clock.
