This is an underrated comment. It's absolutely true. This guy is playing his best angle. Hikaru and all GMs practice this level of concentration that's really on the highest level of self awareness in the game. While it's unlikely to shake them the 5:1 time ratio is actually what makes it interesting. Under time pressure all players crack. This level of distraction is really the best chance anyone has to break a super GM. Unfortunately SuperGMs are the closest thing to the definition of unshakeable. I watch hikaru play online often but I always think it's unfair because he's allowed to turn a part of his brain off more that would have to ignore heckling. Great to see him out in the wild crushing it.

i appreciate how he plays ultra bullet for so much moves, not wondering Hikaru can do this, in fact he has seen a mate in 47 since e3 , but he clearly is very knowledgeable of the opening as he realizes he has arrived to a draw position , i've only seen GMs on long time controls drawing, specially with queens gambit or this tournament openings gms usually play

And note the hand. The Kid was trying to coax H to shake it and make it look like he resigned. You could say “Every trick is the book” or “Never quit, even if you have to cheat” but, at the risk of sounding like a prude, I’m not a fan. Rather focus on the moves.
