You wouldn't believe the degeneracy of the people who play this server every day. Me and my friends messed around on this server for a bit, then months later we come back and there were people we saw before, which is insane. Did some investigating and there are a significant amount of people on this server that have over an average of 12 hours A DAY on the server. Not to mention the fact that they write literal ESSAYS to apply for their in-game 'job positions', and have to file a LEAVE OF ABSENSE to maintain the role if they dont play for a few days. This just scratches the surface of the degeneracy.

Can confirm. Was an executive researcher, did not care for the combat, but loved fueling roleplay and just having a good time with good people after work. Maintained the role for around 2 years on and off. O5, Server Leadership, and the E-11 guarding HCZ treat you like the shit they walk on. 75% of interesting tests require their permission to conduct, O5 basically shut down any suggestions to change it, and E-11 had final say of everything. To top it all off, got warned for "bodyblocking" mid-combat as SCP-682, which if you don't know... Is a GIANT lizard. Tip: Do not try this server. In concept it can be fun, but in practice 💩💩💩

This is most gmod rp servers. I did starwars rp while i did a semester of uni online and it was just filled with all this technical shit that isn’t well thought out. Most servers have stricter requirements for it’s dedicated players than an actual job has. By the time I got NCO I lost all motivation because the shit was more boring and time consuming than my schoolwork.

So scp rp is basically area51 and your a test subject to them. the scientist bring you to certain "scp/aliens" theres ways to escape the building but its a fucking maze doing it also there are people against the corp that go and raid to kill scientist and let the prisoners/test subjects out. Its a funish game when you get the scientists attention in line by saying stupid shit like "i have sometype of penis infection please do research on my penis" or for example that haunted book instead of clicking on it just roleplay along and act like your reading the book and say something fucked up about the scientist tons of ways to mildly troll and shit talk. I use to have fun in this server and the old harrypotter rp one. And no im not a serious roleplayer that shit is for losers.

@@-Grizzly_ It was awesome back in the mid 2000s up to like the earliest 2010s. I don't know why no one runs darkRP like that anymore. Me and my mates in high school ran a DarkRP server back in like 2009 or so, and it was pretty much just anything goes, full chaos was allowed. Only rule was don't do things that crash the server pretty much. People still played their roles without having to have an admin hover over their shoulder and force them to follow some kind of autistic boring script to the absolute letter. The last time I tried to play was like 10 years ago and every server I tried to join was full of annoying admins who paid for their roles and wouldn't let anyone have any fun. It was just shit like "You can't commit crimes, you're a doctor!" uhhhh malpractice is a real thing that some real doctors do in real life, janny, stfu, so what if I beat up a guy who couldn't afford to pay for my service, it's funny. I miss the good old days.

as someone who used to be heavily involved in the scp roleplay genre for years i can confirm this is accurate, and it only gets way worse than this. this genre is completely degenerate and full of horrible people, some of which will genuinely try to doxx you over the game (it has happened to me before). they take this genre as their life, they play for hours everyday, they apply for ingame jobs and have to meet an "activity quota" to maintain their role. this is really just the surface level of SCP roleplay shit, I've been through the ins and outs of the genre and seen the worst of it. stay away from them if you value your sanity 💀💀

I get the weapons rule because back when I played Roblox prison roleplay servers like Prison Life, most of the servers turned into team death matches instead of an actual prison rp. It was pretty fun, I won't lie, but there were times where it got frustrating like when the prisoners and criminals would camp the police spawn room and spawn kill us. But this is an SCP roleplay server... I get why D class would be killed for having guns, but banned?? Why give them access to guns if it's against the rules?

Man this is like SCP:Secret Lab without the fun. I remember there used to a be a GMOD gamemode called Breach that was just a better version of SCP:SL. Some of the best GMOD experience without the RP BS. The gamemode is pretty dead now though, sad times.

As a current player on this server, I can agree with basically everything Bub says here. It's ugly, and there's nothing to do for new players until you hit level 5. Even then, everyone treats you like shit until you go out of your way to show people you're perfect. Then, after that, you have to grind and claw your way up the chain of command. You can get removed from your spot just by forgetting to say in Discord that you were online for however long you were on and what you did. Another thing is the severe bias and how the highest roles on the server are a highly managed friend group who have their own private Discord. They get into it and minge under new names and get on low-level jobs just to be minges. Note: I'm not saying EVERYONE sucks here because there are SOME actually fun and nice people on the server. Unfortunately, if you're a new player, the server forces you to grind till level 5 and then grind even more to get noticed. Also don't get me started on the staff. (you can tell I have some feelings about this server)

Me and a friend used to go on these servers every once in awhile to turn on the femur breaker server wide sound effect, escape the facility as D-Class so preteen admins could start throwing a fit, and then quit the game to do it again in a couple months cause they didn’t even know how to ban anyone.

I might get a ton of hate for this, but tbh this video made this server more trash than it is, i feel like this server is one of the better ones that g mod has to offer, tbh i had the same reactions as this man XD, but you do you. I still think this server is worth a shot! Another thing that i will say that at 5:13 that is me, captain Elijah Xenon Kamski, now yea i was talking to him and i though that he heard me, if i knew that he was new i would not shoot him right away.
