Its a glitch. Thats the sound it makes before the round begins so people can't spam fire and grief before the round. Sometimes it carries over into the round then your guns just dont work and need to restart the game. Thats VR for you 😬

Pavlov is the number one reason to get VR...no question. Alyx is incredible, and really shows what VR can do...but fuck me is Pavlov funny. I often lose fights because I'm laughing so hard, doing things like coming around a corner with a bolt action hunting rifle, only to find the other guy has one as well, both missing, and then standing there a foot apart frantically trying to work the charging handle. Or the always hilarious, sneaking up behind people and pulling their magazine out.

I don't know.. VR could be easier or harder depending on how you look at it. Aiming is more natural and immersive, so it's easier for most. I think it's movement that's usually the hardest thing in VR compared to without VR.

@@Eventide215 I've played Pavlov VR a bit and it isn't as easy as it seems. The controls were a bit weird for me since somethings I'd have to use the grip to grab and sometimes I'd have to use the trigger instead (I think some bolts were like that). Even ignoring controls, the fact that you can't simulate weight means you have to pretend to be holding a gun which is especially harder for two handed guns. It's surprisingly tricky to keep it steady which makes it difficult to use scoped snipers or any sort of weapon at long range.

@@sanguillotine That's why I asked why an Index specifically.. they're kinda similar to PCs. You should start at a lower one if you only intend to play a few games here and there. Only jump straight to the expensive Index if you really want to play a lot of VR. The Index is $1000 total.. the vive is like $400.

1, gmod has vr support through an addon :) and 2, There kind of is a GMOD 2! It's called S&Box and is developed by Garry and the same team. Check out their progress :) Idk about the vr support for it but yeah! :D
